Jeff Leen PW Review

Jeff Leen's THE QUEEN OF THE RING: SEX, MUSCLES, DIAMONDS AND THE MAKING OF AN AMERICAN LEGEND, a biography of pioneer women's wrestler Mildred Burke, had a postive review in yesterday's Publisher's Weekly.

"[Burke's] rise, fall and resurrection is as bizarre and titillating as wrestling's own carnival roots... Leen... deftly guides the reader through well-documented and researched accounts... Flavored with authentic speech and dedicated to accuracy, this biography is the tale of an underdog who triumphed."

THE QUEEN OF THE RING is due out August 5th from Atlantic Monthly Press.
